The varsity hockey team made up of a Co-Op of Centennial and Independence High Schools upset Page-Summit 6-2 on Wednesday evening at the Centennial Sportsplex.

(Because the team is a combined team of student athletes from the two schools they alternate between wearing their CHS and Indy jerseys)

David Busby was the net minder for the game and faced 36 shots.

A little more than 72 hours after defeating Independence, the Centennial Cougars are back at the Centennial Sportsplex for a 7:30 p.m. CT this evening when they host the Brentwood Bruins. Tonight’s contest is the third and final meeting Between the two foes this season, and is a must win game for CHS.

Aziminia Siblings Make Hockey History!

The Centennial Hockey Club is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in style. History was made last night when both Alex and Avery Aziminia each scored goals in the win over Brentwood. This is the first time a brother and sister duo has scored goals in the same GNASH game. It was also Avery’s first career GNASH goal!

Congratulations to Alex and Avery Aziminia on this milestone achievement!

John Caesar takes home his First Goal Puck as Cougars Win over Bruins!

Drew Stratton was between the posts last night as the Cougars faced the Brentwood Bruins. Drew held The Bruins scoreless until the last 17 seconds of the third period and faced 16 shots on goal in the game.

There were 5 CHS goals scored!
1st Period - Alex Aziminia and Aiden Gardner
2nd Period - John Caesar
3rd Period - Avery Aziminia, and Nick Claas.

The goals by Avery and John were their first career goals as Centennial Cougars! Congratulations to them both and to the entire team.

Hockey Team Bowls and Scrimmages

The hockey team held a fun team building event on Sunday at the Franklin Family Entertainment Center, and a second scrimmage with Independence High School last night. Both events were sponsored by the Nashville Predators Foundation.

Our schedule will soon be available, and we look forward to seeing the Cougar Nation come out and support the team.
